Palixty
A downloadable game for Windows
PROJECT IS CANCELLED, AND IS BEING REMADE.
You wake up, and see yourself headed down a conveyer belt to an incinerator, not wanting to be burnt to a crisp, you jump off. The only recollection you have about yourself is that you are a robot with a "power" issue.
What is Palixty? Palixty is a parkour game, similar to Mirror's edge, where you have to beat short levels through wall climbing, wall running, dashing, and all kinds of combinations.
Keyboard: SPACE while hugging and facing a wall to wall climb, SPACE while hugging and facing perpendicular at the wall to wall run, SHIFT to sprint, SPACE to jump, RMB to dash, E to interact.
Controller: A while hugging and facing a wall to wall climb, A while hugging and facing perpendicular at the wall to wall run, R2 to sprint, A to jump. L2 to dash, X to interact.
Inspired by multiple games, main ones are HI-FI RUSH, and Mirror's edge.
Q & A
Q: What does "Palixty" mean?
A: Palixty is a name that I came up with, it was from the games "original" theme/concept about galaxies, and I just combined it with palace, but later on, the concept changed, but I still liked the name, so I kept it.
Q: How often will this be worked on?
A: Unless I say otherwise, I have no clue.
Q: How good is the controller support?
A: It depends on how important controlling the menus is to you, controller support is only partial because I don't have support for a fake cursor yet.
Q: How many levels will be in the game on release?
A: Around 10 - 20 campaign levels, there may be sandbox levels in a separate category.
Known Issues:
When settings save and load, sometimes you have to press twice to turn it off or on.
Cutscenes and videos in general look a bit "corrupted", Godot's community is sometimes lazy with certain features, this is one of them, the video format sucks.
If you find any issues, please comment them.
